Cordiais saudações e parabéns pela iniciativa do fórum.
Gostaria de pedir ajuda pois tenho dois problemas:
-O meu computador, sempre que se insere um cd ou dvd não faz o devido arranque (auto-run?) e gostaria de saber como fazer
-Também deixei de poder fazer restauro de sistema (terá sido por instalar o KIS 2009?).
Se alguém puder ajudar agradecia.

Para habilitar o autorun dos CD's vai ao iniciar - Executar (se tiveres o Vista é só escrever na barra de pesquisa) - Escreve "regedit". Agora navega nas chaves HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRom. Faz duplo clique no valor "Autorun" para 1. Se o valor já for 1, então o problema é outro.

Quando ao restauro... qual o erro que aparece? De qualquer maneira tenta isto: Clique direito em "O meu Computador" (ou "Computador", no Vista) e vai a "Propriedades" Depois clica na aba "Restauro do Sistema" e verifica se a opção [] Desactivar o "Restauro do Sistema" está activada. Se estiver, desactiva-a (ou seja, clicas na caixa para que esta fique sem o "v"). Onde diz "Utilização de espaço em disco" muda para uns 2 ou 3%. Se quando chegaste lá já estava tudo como deveria estar, então o problema deve ser outro.

Também li por aí que o Kaspersky pode interferir com o Restauro. Experimenta desabilitar a self protection e vê se já consegues abrir o restauro do sistema

Amigo Ricardo Lopes agradeço a ajuda que me facultaste, mas infelizmente experimentei essas dicas e nada...ah, tenho o XP SP2 Professional, se alguém tiver ideias avance com elas.Obrigado

Já tive esse problema do restauro do sistema. Foi um spyware que me lixou isso. Tenta correr programas anti-spyware em modo segurança. Em relação ao Autorun do CD não arrancar podes usar um programa do género do Xp-AntiSpy para alterar essa definição ou outro programa de tweaks para windows.

Mas o que esses programas fazem é o mesmo que eu disse (pelo registo) e ele diz que não funciona

Tenta isto:

Another key to look at is anything with AutorunAlwaysDisable, search for all instances of this phrase and check to see if your CD Drive type is listed in there. I'm not exactly sure why these drive makes/models are listed here and I'm researching it to find out why these drives have to have AutoRun disabled. Most likely anyone with one of these drives has the AutoRun disabled during the drive's software installation.

Open My Computer
Select Properties for your drive.
Select Autorun tab and click Reset Defaults.

This will fix your problem if it was caused by a burner program or VMWare. They all
like to disable autorun and auto insert notification.
