Auto Message: Hi, on our records, we happen to notice a false varivaction on your account. Please send your login and password here. so i can confirm your account is active. Seems to be a steam ip issue
Me: What?
Auto Message: An ip issue, our staff is confirming this.
Me: What's the problem exactly?
Auto Message: Seems someone else tried to buy a Css account and there happends to be a duplicate of steam id
Me: A CSS account?
Auto Message: Yes.
Me: I didn't know there was such a thing.
Me: I thought you downloaded steam as a platform for free to buy games of your choosing on.
Auto Message: Steam is required to download, which also comes with any purchased Steam required game, but we usually have this problem once in a while where ids are duplicated.
Me: I see, so why not change their ID? I have seniority.
Auto Message: I understand, but we deal with alot of hackers, which means this id could of been stolen, which is why we are trying to varify your steam account id.
Me: But you just said that there was a CSS account with the same ID.
Me: Now my account was suddenly hacked?
Auto Message: No, we are saying that your steam id# is the same has some one elses, which is why we are trying to detect and varify that your steam account is indeed yours
Me: How would verifying if the steam ID is mine resolve duplicate ID issues?
Auto Message: When you buy a game on steam, there is a code that comes with every purchase, that way we can see if it matches our results.
Me: I thought this was about duplicate steam IDs???
Auto Message: Yes it is.
Auto Message: Every id comes with its own unique code.
Me: Well then if there is a unique code that comes with purchases, then why would you need me to verify my accounts if it is already in your records?
Auto Message: Because there is a duplication of the same Code. Which is why we need to confirm it for our records, since theres been alot of "cracked id's"
Me: Then how does this have to deal with my Steam ID info?
Auto Message: Like i said, its a duplication.
Me: Not only that, if you are an "auto message", then how are you having an intelligent conversation with me?
Me: If I was indeed the hacker, then I would know it, and me telling you it would solve nothing.
Auto Message: For our records we will be reseting ID's including yours, and your not the only one.
Me: If you wanted to verify that it is my steam account, then you could just scan my ip, verifying that it's the same that it's been for the past few years.
Me: Can you even tell me my ip?
Auto Message: I cant access that type of information for your benifits
Me: But you just did.
Auto Message: Well,
Auto Message: Contact
Auto Message: Steam
Auto Message: For anything other questions
Me: I think that if you seriously want to scam somebody, and sound legit, you need to 1: Return to grammar school, 2: Think your logic through, and 3: Mow some fucking lawns, kid, it's not hard to earn your own cash.
Me: And nobody falls for steam chat scams anymore.
