Novo Patch para Cities XL ...

O famoso jogo City building da acabou de receber um novo Patch de correcção.
O Patch, com a versão 1.1.0.457 B3, vem corrigir principalmente dois problemas que aconteciam com alguma frequência em determinados sistemas:
1- Game crashing on launch
If you have successfully updated the game to the latest version (#457) and your game crashes when starting (after correctly logging in the launcher) and displays one of these 3 messages:
“This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.”
“The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect”
“CXL.exe stopped working"

Este problema pode ser derivado de na máquina em que dá erro, haver a falta de algum ficheiro de 'Visual C++ Redistribuable' package.
"If you encounter this issue just go to Cities XL's installation directory (by default: C:/Program Files/Monte Cristo/Cities XL -- or if you are using Steam: C:Program FilesSteamsteamappscommonCities XL) and double-click on the 'vcredist_x86.exe' file.
It will install 'Visual C++ Redistribuable' and you should then be able to restart the game properly."

No entanto:
"If after reinstalling Visual C++ Redistribuable package your game still crashes then the issue is unrelated to the latest patch, please contact our support team."

2- Steam installations
"Steam Cities XL installations have been problematic for installing the manual patch we provided yesterday (see news), we have created a new patch that will fix that issue that you can download here. Once the patch is downloaded double-click on it to install it, and restart the game."
