A Harmonix e a MTV Games lançaram hoje a plataforma Rock Band Network Music Store, que irá permitir entre outras coisas, que usuários do jogo Rock Band, músicos no geral ou qualquer outra pessoa introduzir as suas composições próprias na biblioteca do jogo e chegar mesmo a definir o preço de cada uma das suas faixas.
30% do preço de cada uma das musicas através da Network irá directamente para o seu compositor.

Neste momento zero, existem perto de 100 musicas inscritas, cuja lista segue mais abaixo, incluindo bandas já conhecidas como Lacuna Coil, Steve Vai, e outros.

Existem no entanto mais de 300 artistas em lista de espera para poder ver as suas criações adicionadas ao jogo, entre os quais os Smashing Pumpkins.

Adicionalmente ao lançamento de Rock Band Network, foi anunciado o lançamento para a próxima semana de mais um DLC para o jogo original.

Com data de lançamento prevista para 9 de Março (3ª Feira), para Xbox 360º e Wii artistas como White Stripes vão poder ser tocadas nas nossas casas.

Os preços individuais de cada faixa continua a ser $1.99 (ou 160 pontos Microsoft e 200 pontos Wii).
No entanto há uma promoção para quem adquira as 3 musicas de White Stripes, que terá um ligeiro desconto.
O Bundle DLC terá um preço de $5.49 (440 pontos Microsoft).
