Quanto ao manual, é praticamente igual ao que está no último link que o @Bladerunner disponibilizou.

Quanto á dica, não tenho/conheço outras pessoas com um sony vaio que possam desenrascar.

Adiciono uma actualização ao post inicial: o S.O. passou para Windows 7 64 bits.

Nos links que postei, tinha algo para o Vista!
Como é que passaste para o Windows 7 64 bits?
