Hello konnerbelly, first of all Well-come to the Peopleware forum!

As Alziro previously referred, if you have the latest Ovi Maps, all you have to do is to disable A-GPS (which apparently uses a data connection) you will have to do something like this:

If you have your symbian phone in English, go to Tools/Settings/General/Positioning/Positioning Methods and only leave enabled "Integrated GPS" and after that you will be able to navigate with GPS without data connection!
