Como não esclareceste, vou assumir que tens o respectivo driver instalado.

Existem várias possibilidades, ainda a semana passada tive uma situação semelhante com o leitor/gravador de um Acer, ou seja, após vários despistes acabei por concluir que era problema de hardware.
